GMA 950 on Intel DG945GCPE motherboard (only heat sink visible). Translations in context of dem Intel GMA in German-English from Reverso.
What really annoyed me is they’ve gone and used dedicated GPUs in their Apple TVs. The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) is a series of integrated graphics processors. If you want, you can always overclock it to 400 MHz using the GMA Booster.

If/when Apple releases an updated MacBook, it will likely have a G965 chipset, and thus would benefit from this advance, assuming Apple and Intel get the drivers going (I can’t imagine they wouldn’t. As already mentioned, Intel GMA 950 is the integrated (onboard) graphic chip. I was really disappointed when Apple went with integrated chips because I knew they’d cause problems. The Macs with Intel integrated graphics use the 945G chipset (called GMA 950 graphics,) which, again, does not have a hardware T&L unit. All three video processors are 'integrated. Hardware rendering was also disabled, which is weird because my ancient G3 with Radeon 7500 was supported by Maya’s hardware rendering and yet the graphics performance of the new machines are quite a bit better than the old machines - maybe the CPUs and memory bandwidth are just making up for a lot. There are three different video processors provided by the MacBook models - the Intel GMA 950 graphics processor in systems released prior to November 1, 2007, the Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor in the 'Late 2007' and 'Early 2008', and the NVIDIA GeForcee 9400M in the 'Early 2009' and 'Mid-2009'. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the Lakeport graphics. Someone I work beside was using Maya with a GMA and it wouldn’t show any background textures at all unless they had a resolution that was a multiple of 16. The GMA 950 was an integrated graphics solution by Intel, launched on June 1st, 2005. Yeah, I think it could be both and certainly Blender’s way of using OpenGL is bound to cause some problems here and there.

Under Windows, the driver supports DirectX The GMA is integrated in the following chipsets.

Well its both actually, the drivers are a bit… weird… and blender uses a bit old opengl… INTEGRATED GRAPHICS USING INTEL GMA 950 DRIVERS FOR MAC DOWNLOAD - Intel describes this as a flexible, programmable architecture that supports shader-based technology, 2D, 3D and advanced 3D graphics, high-definition video decode, and image processing.
